Nigerian Golden Eaglets came from behind to beat their Mexican counterpart in a Semi- final clash of the ongoing FIFA under 17 World Cup in Chile.
The match lived up to the high expectations from spectators all around the world. The Golden Eaglets were made to prove their worth and mettle by a well organised Mexican team having to come back from a goal deficit to win 4-2. Goals from Nwakali (33mins), Okonkwo (43mins), Ebere (67mins) and Osimhen (82mins Penalty) were enough to decide the game in an encounter where the Mexican had the upper hand as regards match possession (52%).
With this victory, Nigeria will now meet Mali, their fellow African representative in the final match. Mali had earlier beat Belgium 3 goals to 1 to cruise to the final of the tournament.
