GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION TRIBUNAL FINAL VERDICT: ALL EYES ON DELTA STATE.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

After the April 11 gubernatorial election in Delta State, 3 contestants from Labour Party (LP), All Progressive Congress (APC) and Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) filed their petition at the election tribunal challenging the declaration of the PDP Candidate as the winner.

Names of the petitioners are : Chief Great Ogboru , Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and Mr. Paul Isamade in that other respectively. Their reasons for the petition are not far fetched from massive rigging, thuggery, conspiracy by the ruling party with Independent National Election Commission (INEC) and Police to steal election materials.
The Governorship Election Tribunal was commissioned and headed by Justice Nasir Gumi. The resumed hearing was heard on the 23rd of June 2015 and since, many events have transpired till the last sitting where it was concluded that the final verdict will be made today, 26th Of October,2015.
