As reported on this blog, the outcome of the Rivers State Governorship tribunal did not favour the incumbent Governor of Rivers State as his mandate was withdrawn and a fresh Governorship election has been ordered to be done within the next 90 days.
The reason for his mandate removal was premised on gross misconduct, massive rigging and conspiracy with the INEC authorities in the State.

It has been reported by the Nation newspaper that the appeal filed by the estranged Rivers State Governor challenging the jurisdiction of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal to hear a petition filed against him by his APC counterpart on Tuesday, 27th of October has been dismissed by the Supreme Court.
With this, Nyesom Wike has now suffered two major defeat in the space of 4days.
